Please remember exam sessions are a fun event, Dancers perform in groups, we have a 100% pass rate. Our exams are a fun, exciting and memorable experience for our dancers. Awards are collected at our celebration awards - more information will be released soon.

Why Examinations?

Chloe Elizabeth Dance Company complete annual dance examinations with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA). Our dance exams provide unity and progression for our dancers. They also provide an opportunity for dancers to work towards an end achievement and gain recognition for their hard work. Although our dancers have the knowledge of dance it is important to have evidence of achievements for when dancers wish to progress into dance college, university or other professional channels.  

On the day:

Examinations will be held at OPEN SPACE STUDIOS CIC. Please enter the building and register at the desk. Please come at least 10 minutes before you scheduled examination time. Please make sure all dancers come to the studio prepared, hair up and dressed tidy and ready to dance. Dancers should be dressed in their dance school t-shirts and black bottoms or all plain black/grey attire. All Street dancers must be in clean trainers, and modern dancers in bare feet or jazz shoes. Dancers perform dances in small groups, the dance teacher will also be present to help with dances.

After the exam:

Results will be available from 10am the next day. Please contact Miss Chloe Elizabeth on 07874331313 for your results, please have your exam time on hand to make the process a lot quicker. The mini dancer’s exam (Rosette awards) carries just a Pass mark (no grade). All other Exams are graded: Pass (Fair), Commended (Good) and Highly Commended (Very Good). The highest standards are awarded an HONOURS Grade. Last year we had excellent results with many of our dancers being awarded an HONOURS grade – we are confident that we can keep up the standards for this year too!
